{"id":4875,"date":"2022-04-13T11:07:09","date_gmt":"2022-04-13T16:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/utrgvradio.com\/?p=4875"},"modified":"2022-04-13T11:07:11","modified_gmt":"2022-04-13T16:07:11","slug":"the-investment-that-will-take-the-utrgv-to-another-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/utrgvradio.com\/index.php\/2022\/04\/13\/the-investment-that-will-take-the-utrgv-to-another-level\/","title":{"rendered":"The investment that will take the UTRGV to another level"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-audio\"><audio controls src=\"http:\/\/utrgvradio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/amira-sport-story-4-11-22.mp3\"><\/audio><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>UTRGV announced the enhancement of the athletics facilities for all the sports that will benefit not only the athletes but the fans and the students last Thursday at the Fieldhouse. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be financially possible because of the substantially increase revenue from record season ticket sales, fundraising and philanthropy of the Rio Grande Valley according to Vice President and Director of Athletics Chasse Conque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f27508\"><strong>\u201cToday is going to set us on a different trajectory put us in a position we have never been before as we take these 30 million investments, and we get to spread this over our current 16 sports\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the enhancement of these facilities, athletes from different sports such as golf, tennis, and track will receive locker rooms which they did not have before.
