As an Assistant Station at Vaquero Radio, I have noticed that everyone I meet has the same question: what is it like to be on the radio station? The mystery that the radio gives to everyone is beautiful, and I have the fortune to explain it to everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started radio when I was 17, since I was in high school. I was fascinated by how five students could be able to do a newscast and start editing on a small computer in the English room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We didn’t have a room for ourselves, one of them was recording, the other one writing scripts, the other two where recording the news on a closet, finally I was the one editing the audio and putting everything together so at the end of the day I could hear my work on a radio station. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, it was amazing to transmit a message to the people. For me the world teamwork was vital and I will never believe that the word radio will change to the vaquero radio family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The word radio in the dictionary means the transmission and reception of electromagnetic waves of radio frequency, especially those carrying sound messages. Those last words carrying sound messages mean a whole team working to transmit something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message can be anything and that’s what makes the radio so beautiful. We can be anything, we are the Joker in the deck of cards. Our purpose is to make you laugh, to entertain, to give you the news and all the latest of UTRGV and the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making radio a big media, enough to carry social media, apps, and more. That is why everyone on the team is so important, the radio is like a human body. It’s not working if one of the members is not there. That’s why we stay strong together as one making the radio better every day with new content and of course, news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So if next time they ask you what’s the mystery behind the mic, just tell them teamwork makes the radio work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
