Updated 4 p.m. March 7 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hidalgo and Cameron County voters have made their choice to have the U.S. President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump face each other again in November, unofficial election results show. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biden garnered 11,182 votes in Cameron County and 19,285 in Hidalgo in the Democratic presidential race. On the Republican side, Trump received 12,626 in Cameron and 15,665 in Hidalgo County. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Democratic U.S. senator race, Roland Gutierrez collected 8,651 votes in Hidalgo County and 5,151 in Cameron. Incumbent Ted Cruz was leading the Republican race with 15,649 votes in Hidalgo and 12,690 in Cameron. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Democratic candidate Michelle Vallejo collected 15,987 in Hidalgo County in the District 15 U.S. representative race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Incumbent Vicente Gonzalez ran uncontested and received 15,672 votes in Cameron County and 9,321 in Hidalgo for the District 34 U.S. representative race. Mayra Flores was in the lead for the Republican side in the same race with 3,793 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the District 37 state representative race, Democrat Alex Dominguez trounced Ruben Cortez Jr.1,735 votes to 1,667.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the District 27 state senator race, Democratic incumbent Morgan LaMantia ran uncontested and garnered 15,334 votes in Cameron County. For the Republican race, Adam Hinojosa garnered 11,924 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Hidalgo County, Democrat Nereida Lopez-Singleterry collected 20,984 for the district judge 476th race defeating Jesse Contreras with 16,649 votes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Hidalgo County sheriff race, Democratic candidate J.E. Eddie Guerra led with 28,093 votes and Republican Ezequiel \u201cZeik\u201d Jurado III received 13,720 votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
