The annual Fiesta Edinburg Carnival ran from late February to March 3 at the Bert Ogden Arena.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Fiesta Edinburg arrived at the Bert Ogden Arena late last month with hundreds of people gathered to experience the festivities, rides, food and live entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendees were able to enjoy a wide variety of activities, making it a fun-filled event for the whole family. The carnival also featured games and contests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As attendees walked from the ticket box to the left region of the carnival, vendors filled the carnival with a variety of meals, including fried foods, cotton candy and barbecue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live entertainment of tejano music and current hits serenaded in the lounging area in the middle of the carnival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To the right of the entrance, attendees were able to enjoy carnival rides such as the Ring of Fire, which flipped attendees upside down as they went in a circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Magic Maze allowed people to go through optical illusions, obstacles and finish off with a slide down the attraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ferris wheel was at the center of the carnival and allowed attendees to oversee the entire event up in the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Math junior Melissa expressed her feelings for events such as Fiesta Edinburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday was the last day, I really love carnivals,\u201d Melissa said.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Integrated health science freshman Sal described her experience at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has been a roller coaster,\u201d Sal said.<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Both attendees said they had a great time trying out different rides and would love to repeat it next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
