Knight has built a following of more than 100,000 people online<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">while continuing his career as a Division I athlete. Sports reporter Sebastian Espino has the<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With more than 100,000 followers across social media, BB Knight has become a recognizable<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">name both on and off the basketball court. But Knight said the person behind the platform is<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">much more than an athlete or influencer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>\u201cBB Knight is a man of God above all.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knight said his identity became clearer during his junior year of college, when an injury kept him<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">off the court for an entire season. He was able to focus on himself and grow closer to his faith while recovering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI was able to find who I was outside of basketball during that time.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, Knight is balancing Division I basketball while creating content, doing sponsorships and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">managing his personal brand. He said the schedule can be demanding, but he sees it as  something he prayed for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI have a lot of long days. But nonetheless, I prayed for these things, so I can&#8217;t be mad that I&#8217;m overwhelmed some days.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knight&#8217;s content focuses heavily on giving followers a look into his everyday life rather than<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">simply showing basketball. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said authenticity is what allows him to connect with his audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>\u201cMy personal brand is my business.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As his platform has grown financially, Knight said he sees the opportunity as a blessing after<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">spending years creating content. He has also started The NIO Blueprint, a project focused on<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">helping athletes build their personal brands and capitalize on NIL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Knight his personal brand is bigger than any individual sponsorship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And while basketball remains an important part of his life, Knight said he trusts his faith to guide wherever the game takes him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI want the Lord to take me as far as he wants me to go with basketball.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is Sebastian Espino For Vaquero Radio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All player B.B.
