Adriana Gutti is making her way to success after recently appearing in the Netflix show “Cindy la Regia: The High School Years,” which premiered on the platform last year.

Gutti portrayed the role of Fabiana, one of the main lead schoolmates. With nine days of shooting, she expressed the process was exciting but challenging.

She said her character is the opposite of her personality.

“She is literally anti LGBTQ, like, homophobic and I have, like, opposite to me, of course,” Gutti said. “I made up a personal story for Fabiana because they give you little clues on the script.”

Gutti graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts in communication. However, she decided she wanted to pursue her dream of acting, which started as a little girl going to see plays in her hometown of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

“We went to go and see Pinocchio and I was like, ‘That’s so cool,’ and I really liked what they did on stage,” she said.

Middle school art and theater teacher Cristina Blanco said since day one, she saw something in Gutti while she was her student.

“I saw those who have aptitude, those who have a little more talent to sing, dance, to act,” Blanco said in Spanish. “I started to see Gutti because she had a lot of potential. She loved dancing since she was little.”

She described Gutti as a tenacious woman.

Freelance actor and acting teacher Adrian Garcia said one word to describe Gutti is special.

“She is a very special actress,” Garcia said. “She has a very big range, and I think she is a real real actress. Like I said, it’s not just the glamor, it’s not just the pictures, it’s not just the dress, she is real.”

Gutti said the next step for her is to continue auditioning for roles and providing guidance to those looking to audition for the first time.
