House of Fashion club aims to pave the way in making it easier for students to get into the fashion world allowing them creative control over their art, according to a member.
House of Fashion President Micheal Montelongo said he wants his club to become a beacon of creativity for students in UTRGV.
Club Treasurer Dulce Mendoza said there are many Hispanic students who love to create and the university provides an opportunity for them to experience and possibly grow in their art.
Brownsville Administrator Karina De La Garza said she established the club in the Brownsville campus so students from both campuses have the same opportunity.
De La Garza encourages students to join the club if they are interested, even if they have no experience.
Head Photographer Fernando Ostos Limon says the atmosphere in the club fuels the students’ creativity and members within the club help foster it.
