Last Thursday, the UTRGV men’s basketball team went up against the Seattle University Redhawks. UTRGV took the win with a final score of 59 to 44. The Vaqueros were close to being tied against the Redhawks until halftime. Head coach Lew Hill tells us more.

UTRGV’s starting five put up 39 points. Guard Greg Bowie II added 12 points. Forward, Myles Carter, led the Redhawks with 16 points. Guard, Jordan Jackson, got the Vaqueros 14 points, three steals, and one assist. UTRGV shot 2-12, 16.7% from the 3-point line. While Seattle went 4-18, 22.2% from 3. The Vaqueros lead the game for 38 minutes, by as many as 17 points. This win puts the UTRGV Vaqueros up to 7-4 in the Western Athletic Conference.
